FORAGER for Mobile Devices

HTML, CSS & JavaScript for Mobile Development

It’s time to get started.

We wanted to start off on a clean slate when building forager, so we went back to a time before the #GTW, when the slate was clear and games were often modeled by pieces and each part of the game was made distinctly and characteristically to be unique.

XHTML and HTML were caught in a parental dispute –

“well you’re in it now son!”

So HTML5 (the extensions) help the XHTML to see what to take and what to leave by providing “copy” spores of the imprint and storing as virtual memory somewhere in a time machine.

The Dial Up Connection with Forager

“I suggest we pump a pack.”
“What do you mean, Olivia?”

“I’m saying we use the USB Dial Up component to provide energy for the game, with the —

We’ll discuss file size and download times.

What is BroadBand?

Broadband allows forager to utilize a rail, or a flat string, like a roller coaster rail, to process information over time before it reaches us.

Web browsers collect in a queue the processes and loading that a back end server would normally do.

Cycling is content compression before state change – it is like a physical change vs a chemical change.

“Keep it physical. Leave that other stuff to Terry College Business Services”

I want to talk about this for a minute (Dolores Horse)

-by allowing the game to charge up on a visual basic type platform, through emulations repeated showing all possible outcomes, the game is ready for action by the time it releases or arrives at graphics department.

“pretty cool arcade game.”

With hyperlinks – web content with hyperlinks led to the invention of multi-media so it could carry multiple “winforms” or windows forms with it.

With the advent of PDA and Windows Forms, with InfoPath, documents could be traced back to their source, even if a trace element.

So forms went mobile, in more than one way, like CryEngine, and the ability to use forms as Portable Document Types, the progression of the availability of multi-media content for other formats, including devices, sky rocketed the web.

“it was the ipod touch that inspired the phew phone.”

“small images went out of the conversation. Format-ability, format-ibility, and proportions, aspect ratios, and ratios for forms in general became the topic of conversation.”

“responsive design worked with GitHub until the responsive design found out about high school classes for CAWT -“

They were hiding the specs on all the devices in his head.

We’re back.

So a lot of you have asked me how JavaScript benefits this process, and we have encouraged you to, to get as much feedback as possible before going into production.

JavaScript services like Fedex, UPS, etc.

–it acts on manageable chunks

–compensates for familiar “limitations”

HTML is the design tool for all of these. It earned it. It feels like we feel.

All stereotypes go to Groovy.

Old schoolers – have been around for a while

New schoolers – started recently with CSS and HTML, and got confused after the #GTW, Cascading Style Sheets vs. CSS, and the pre-compulation of JavaScript.

Old Schoolers – use handheld devices and game engines

New Schoolers – play ROMs and Emulators on their phones #the-dream

Old Schoolers – are used to the fast pace of the internet

New Schoolers – largely prefer the fast pace of the internet, bc it’s engaging. Plus, they grew up mobile.
